Today we talked about how to be safe around matches. We decided what might be a tool (like matches) or a toy. We had to sort the pictures and talk about why they are a tool or toy

Today we went on a bus to the ASB sports Centre.  our 3 groups tool part on 3 sessions ; basketball, gymnastics and athletics

Relaxing masks

Today in Creative Critters time we designed our own lavender sent eye mask. We added jewels and rice to make it look snazzy and tried them out at the end of the day. We can wait to use them after lunch times

Maths - doubles

Today, as a team of girls and boys we had to roll a dice, double it and try get 4 counters in a row. We worked with buddies to double by counting the same number twice!

Our mihi

This term we will be working towards writing and presenting our own Mihi. This week we wrote our Mihi or Pepeha in English.

We are creating a book

Today we started creating our very own book using book creator!! We designed our front cover and gave our story a title.

Geometry land mines

Today in Maths we had to use mathematical language to get our buddy through the mine field without stepping on any mines (bean bags). Our buddy was blind folded so it made it hard. Lots if us were successful at getting through! 

Casey shapes

Today some of us worked with Sarah to practise our Casey Shapes. Casey shapes join together to form letters.  We found different Casey shapes in our name. We also played bingo using tweeters and fuzzies. What Casey shapes do you know?

Imaginative Play

This afternoon we had some imaginative play. We used our imagination to pretend and imagine in groups. Mobina made a new time of ice cream. Some others made a shop and used their counting to buy toys and fruit!

Tutti Fruitti

We loved eating our fruit at tutti frutti time! Make sure you pack some fruit and water for this time!

3D modelling with Tinkercad

Today for Geometry we used a 3D modelling platform to create pictures. As a team we had to draw a picture using Tinkercad but only one of us could see Sarah's laptop. We used position words like; top, up, down, left, right to make the picture.

Geometry and construction and all things WOW

Today for geometry we had titu time. We got to play around on a new website for 3d modelling. We had to turn and shift and position  shapes on a workspace. While some of us were doing that we used our position language to help build some shelves! We hammered nails and screwed screw and talked geometry.
